PERSONAL NOTE FROM MRS. THARP: Welcome to Vanoss a Family Friendly School! We provide all students an excellent educational experience in a safe environment, where positive values are held in high regard. It is our goal for our students to be equipped for a successful future when they graduate. All students are valuable and should be challenged to learn to their very best ability.

ABOUT: Mrs. Tharp graduated from Vanoss High School in 1988. She received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a special endorsement for middle school social studies and certification in Early Childhood from East Central University in 1993. Her first Master’s Degree is in Counseling and the second Master’s is in Education Administration from East Central University. She received her National Board Certification as a middle childhood generalist in 2005.

Mrs. Tharp dedicated the first nine years of her teaching career to the early childhood department, five years teaching third grade, two years in counseling, four years as Elementary Principal, and she has been superintendent since 2012-13. As an administrator she has also served as Director of Transportation, Director of 21st Century Program, Director of Before and After School Program. Her husband, Chris, is Executive Officer of Tribal and Commercial Health for the Chickasaw Nation, and volunteer fireman. Mrs. Tharp and her husband have two sons who both gradutated from Vanoss School.
